2010 is the 95th anniversary of the outstanding folklorist and orientalist Professor of the Irkutsk University Nadezhda Osipovna Sharakshinova.
To commemorate this event, we are holding an International Conference on all topics of Mongolian and Orientalistic studies
(April 14-15, 2010).
Participants from around the world are welcome.
The main topics of the Conference are:
- The academic contributions and impact of Prof. N.O.Sharakshinova
- Poetics of folkor genres
- Image of the world in the mongolian culture (mythology, folklor, tales, ethnography, literature and language)
- Heroic epic “Geser” and its significance in the culture of mongolian peoples
- Ethnos in the historical development
- Mongolian civilization in context of the european culture
